Workshops & Symposia
Beesenstedt Castle is the ideal location for film workshops. Together with other institutes from Halle and Leipzig, workshops for scriptwriting, acting, editing, lighting design, and set design can be offered. Along with the castle’s many guest rooms, there are also 11 halls which allow you to split up comfortably into groups. The grand hall is approximately 300 square metres, while the smaller halls measure around 150 square metres each. In addition, both the grand hall and two of the smaller halls have marble fireplaces, which can be used for wood fires by request.
Several media policy symposia have already been held at the castle. In the near future, the castle will also become an meeting place for international filmmakers.
Live and Film at the Same Place
The castle’s countless guest rooms can accommodate whole teams. There is ample space for offices, wardrobes, make-up studios, sets and catering. There’s also sufficient power supply (220 or 380).
Catering
You have the choice between full-board (all meals provided) or half-board at the castle, with delicious meals such as freshly caught venison on offer. The castle’s large kitchen can also be used for self-catering.
Crew
Complete film crews can be hired at short notice from the Halle/Leipzig region and also from Berlin.
Studio
At the moment, the castle’s huge barn is being converted into a low-budget film studio so that original studio sets can be constructed on site during the film shoot.
